AMIC Project Poised to Transform Northern Ireland’s Manufacturing Sector

The £98m Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre (AMIC), backed by the £930m Belfast Region City Deal, is expected to create 1,500 jobs and support 300 apprentices by 2050. Located in Newtownabbey and led by Queen’s University, AMIC will give businesses access to cutting-edge technology and research. Finance Minister John O’Dowd and Economy Minister Dr Caoimhe Archibald highlighted its potential to drive productivity, regional growth, and global competitiveness.
